New versions come with rulers in 0.125″ (1/8″) increments. Color-coded, lined, and gridded versions have been deprecated. Minor improvements have been made.
These templates are measured for 11″ x 17″ paper, but you can resize as needed in your favorite imaging software. Templates have measurements that are direct ratios for reducing artwork to an average modern comic book size of 6.625″ x 10.25″.
9.9375″ x 15.375″ trim area
10.5″ x 15.75″ bleed area
Two safe area variants: 9″ x 13.5″ (2 x 3 ratio) and 9″ x 14.25″ (closest to mainstream size)
Included is a document with instructions and facts about the templates and changes from the previous version (which are still available if you prefer them).
Print out for traditional art or use as a layer in Photoshop, Manga Studio, or other imaging application. Lightbox to bristol board or print directly on your illustration board. All lines can be be removed in imaging software. NOTE: Printing templates directly on illustration board should only be done for black and white artwork. See included instructions for more details.
All PDFs have a small watermark.
