Self-imposed comics rehab, day 26

So far, the plan is that this be my last week of rehab and next week I’ll continue the same schedule sans the daily documentation.

I did some more outlining today. I wanted to be as prepared as possible to work on the projects I’ve selected. There’s some apprehension, sure, but I can’t my rehabilitation, nor my need to do comics, go by the wayside.

My dilemma over the weekend was whether or not to start Omnipotent Me over from scratch or to continue where I left off a year-and-a-half ago. I read through my archive and I like most of the strips I did. I think as I continued to do them, the strip started to become more focused until its untimely halt. There are a few strips that need to have at least their dialogue reworked and others that needed to be discarded completely. Wanting to both start fresh and to keep as many of the strips as possible, I found a solution… which I will present when I’m ready to go.

As far as the other project, it’s been completely summarized, and in my head it seems like a fairly simple project to work on. I’m thinking of making it a weekend project using the same rehab schedule I’ll be using during the work week. This means getting up at 7:00 AM every single day.

I have no idea if I can do that. However, I’ve been reading some works by a couple different people that have stated that they get up at a certain time everyday… a really early time, and these people have gotten their work done. I just need to suck it up and find a way to do the same.

Hey… I can take naps, right?
