James And The Giant Peach – The Garden, by Phillip Ginn<\/b><\/p>\n

In December of 2023, I was commissioned to do a custom piece from Roald Dahl’s James And The Giant Peach<\/em>. I could draw anything that came to mind, and I wanted it to contrast with my first James<\/em> piece from 2022<\/a>. I also wanted to depict another scene from the classic book, and I knew exactly which one: The garden – the point early in the story when James discovers a peach that is way too big for the tree. It’s sunny and even hopeful, contrasting with the darker, more surreal scene from the original 2022 illustration.<\/p>\n
