Description

Corse Bride, by Phillip Ginn

Technically this isn’t fanart, though maybe technically it is. Tim Burton’s The Corpse Bride was based on an old Russian folk tale. This piece was inspired more from the idea of the Corpse Bride than Burton’s film, but I did still keep it in mind as I sketched it out. Drawing the frame and the patterns on her dress was fun.

Strathmore 500 2-ply Bristol board and archival Koh-I-Noor ink.

Inktober was created in 2009 by artist Jake Parker. His goal was to challenge himself to improve his inking skills and work on developing better drawing habits. Since then, many illustrators around the world participate in Inktober, drawing as many ink drawings as they can – the standard being one a day – throughout October, and they share their work via social media.
