A few days ago, I signed up for National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) for the first time. Check it out. The goal is to write a 50,000-word novel in the month of November. I figure it’d be a good challenge for me: it’s a chance to “force” myself to get a larger creative project done on a deadline. Hopefully this will serve as a motivator for me to make more time for large creative projects as well as helping me to form good creative work habits.

I am officially starting right now… a day late (hey, I wasn’t home yesterday. Don’t worry, I’ll make up for it by typing really, really fast).
